Enable the campaign and verify

Going live is a one-click status change. The interesting part is what to watch for in the first hour.

Step 1 - Set status to Active

On the campaign edit page (or via the campaign list row's actions), change Status from Draft to Active and save. Within a few seconds the campaign is live and real customers can trigger it.

The three status options are:

  • Draft - saved but not running. Useful while you're still configuring it.
  • Active - live; the campaign fires on every matching cart.
  • Paused - temporarily off, but everything you set up is preserved. Different from Draft because re-activating doesn't reset any state.

Step 2 - Watch the first cart

The fastest way to confirm it's actually working is to open your store in a private/incognito browser with ?vltrx_debug=true appended to the URL, and watch the browser console as you add products to the cart. The engine logs every evaluation - you'll see your campaign matching as soon as the cart crosses the threshold.

Step 3 - Check analytics after the first orders

Once a real customer's order completes, open Analytics in the Valotrix Cart Rewards admin. Within ~15 minutes of the first converted order, you should see (per the Analytics article):

  • Total Orders - every paid order in the date range.
  • Promotion Orders - orders where your campaign fired and a gift was attached. The conversion-rate percentage appears as a sub-label.
  • Gifts Given - count of gift line items.
  • AOV Lift - percentage difference between AOV-with-Valotrix and AOV-without-Valotrix.

Step 4 - Iterate

The first campaign rarely converts as expected. Watch which carts in the simulator results panel "should have" fired but didn't, and tune the conditions. Common adjustments after launch:

  • Lowering the spend threshold (you set it too high)
  • Adding a Customer is logged in condition (only logged-in customers should get the gift, e.g. for VIP-style perks - Pro+)
  • Switching the gift to a different product if the original is out of stock too often (see Out-of-stock gifts)
  • Promoting Draft→Active campaigns one at a time so each gets a clean week of data before the next change ships
