Install Valotrix Cart Rewards from the Shopify App Store

You install Valotrix Cart Rewards the same way you install any other Shopify app - through the Shopify App Store. It takes about 30 seconds: click Install, approve the permissions, land on the dashboard.

Step 1 - Find Valotrix Cart Rewards in the App Store​

Go to apps.shopify.com/valotrix-cart-rewards or search "Valotrix Cart Rewards" in your Shopify admin's Apps section.

Step 2 - Install on your store​

Click Install. Shopify shows you the standard install screen with the permissions Valotrix Cart Rewards needs to do its job:

  • Read your customers, products, markets, orders, themes, and customer events.
  • Write discounts (so Valotrix Cart Rewards can apply the discount to gift lines at checkout - only the gift line, never anything else in the cart), order edits (for the backend gift repair safety net), and pixels (to record gift events in analytics).

Approve them.

After approval, you land on the Valotrix Cart Rewards dashboard inside your Shopify admin. Until you have your first campaign, the dashboard shows a New merchant card that walks you through three quick steps. If you ever close it and want to come back to the same checklist, this article (and the next four) cover the same ground.

What's on the dashboard before your first campaign​

The merchant onboarding card has three checkboxes and a curated template gallery:

  1. Enable the app embed in your theme - what lets Valotrix Cart Rewards add gifts to carts on your storefront. Walked through in Enable the theme app embed.
  2. Create your first campaign - pick a template (Spend & Get, Buy X Get Y, or Tiered Spend) or start from scratch. Walked through in Create your first campaign.
  3. Test it in the Simulator - build a fake cart, run it through your campaign, and confirm the gift fires before real customers see it. Walked through in Preview before going live and the Simulator deep-dive.

The card disappears once you have at least one campaign - replaced by the regular dashboard with the campaign command-center and analytics snapshot.
